Bible Verses About Suffering

Verses for those in pain, hardship, or trial — and the God who meets us in our suffering.

Suffering is not a sign that God has abandoned you — it is often the place where He shows up most clearly. These Bible verses on suffering do not minimize pain or offer easy answers. They bring us to a God who is described as the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who uses tribulation to produce patience, character, and hope. Paul gloried in his sufferings.
