Scripture GeneratorBible Verses About Persecution
Verses on persecution — the suffering that comes with living faithfully for Christ, and the blessing and joy that comes with it.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake — for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. These verses on persecution are both a warning and an encouragement. All who want to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. You are not alone in this — you are joining a long line of faithful witnesses who have endured. They rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. Your suffering for Christ is not a sign that God has abandoned you — it is a sign that you belong to Him.
“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:10
